Egypt Parliament Abroad (EPA) statement on Death Sentence of Son of Mansoura Judge case

Egyptian Court of Cassation has dropped the curtain on the case of killing of son of Mansoura Judge by rejecting of revocation of the death sentence for three young men to make the ruling final and enforceable at any time.

This brings the number of persons with final death sentences to 31. Bearing in mind that the number of persons waiting similar rulings before Court of Cassation exceeds 100. The number of executed is 8, apart from about 2000 who were sentenced to death in absentia and in mass trials that lack the minimum standard of justice most of which by military courts.

Thus, the military coup continues the killing in the name of law of the oppositionist Egyptian youngmen, hence Egypt (during the rule of military junta) becomes the country with the highest number of death sentences used to oppress oppposition and the believers in freedom and democracy.

EPA calls upon the free world, individuals parliaments and governments, to declare solidarity with the Egyptian people against the leaders of the oppressive military coup leaders.
