Legislative Committee

The Committee is competent to:

1- Study all the legal aspects of the constitution, laws and decrees of the coup authority and all its actions of any kind and to provide legal opinion on it by reports submitted to the parliament.

2. Study the unjust court rulings of the coup authority and to identify the legal flaws, and reporting them to the parliament.

3- Study, revise and adjust of proposals for draft bills for the present and post-coup phase.

4- All issues relating to the affairs of the internal statute of the parliamentary work regulations.

5- Assist the parliament and its committees in drafting legislative texts in addition to all legal issues.

6- Examine and study all legal means for prosecuting the coup authority before international criminal tribunals and national jurisdictions of countries whose national laws allow the prosecution of crimes against humanity.

7- Liaison with international entities concerned with the independence of the judiciary in coordination with the Committee on Foreign Relations of the parliament.
